A War Story-Free Conference

Today’s my first day back at work after a great EMS Today conference.  My whole outlook on what continuing education could be has changed since I saw Greg Friese’s session.  Wake County EMS’s Advanced Practice Paramedic Program has given a new definition to high performance EMS, and I’m very excited about other services starting similar programs.

I had a great time at the Zoll Blogger’s Bash, and enjoyed speaking with Greg, Dale Loberger, Dave Konig, Scott Kier, TOTWTYTR, and Rogue Medic.  And the look on my boss’s face was priceless after Kelly Grayson told him the name of his blog.

Driving home I talked to a non-EMS friend, who asked me if I had heart enough car accident stories for a while.  Actually, I replied, I did not hear any.  The conversations focused on issues in different systems, literature on clinical care, and what EMS should look like.  It was very stimulating, and I hope we can all meet again soon.

  1. Even though we did not meet I look forward to next time we get the chance. I agree that is actually nice to transend the war stories and talk about the issues at hand.

  2. LOL, I shocked the boss, huh?

Was it in a good way or a bad way?
